Universities play an important role in the quality of life in the region. They stand for future professionals working in many institutions, businesses and organizations in the region, creating cultural wealth, inventing and seeking innovations for a better life for all of us.

Jozef Viskupič - Head of Trnava Self-Government region signed a memorandum of cooperation with three university subjects in the city of Trnava - University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Trnava University in Trnava and the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava, STU Bratislava. The document was signed by individual institutions: Roman Bočaca - Rector of UCM in Trnava, René Bílik - Rector of Trnava University in Trnava and Miloš Čambál, CSc. - Dean of MTF STU Bratislava.

The signed documents imply mutual support, which will also be reflected in the provision of internships for students of academic institutions, cooperation in the organization of scientific, professional and popularization lectures, activities and events in the city and region, cooperation on innovation for towns and municipalities within Trnava region, promoting the attractiveness of Trnava region and many other areas of mutual interest.

Rector of our University, prof. Ing. Roman Boča, DrSc., Also proposed that in the future the city of Trnava be called, where possible and permissible, also in documents - UNIVERSITY CITY TRNAVA.
