Rector´s measure 6/2020 - Prevention of coronavirus spread

The rector of UCM issues the following measures in relation to the possible spread and threat of coronavirus:

1. Educational staff and scientists, in the period from 11th of March, 2020 to 23rd of March, 2020, do not go to work, they will fulfill their work duties eg. in the field of science and publishing in the home environment (home office). At the same time, they will prepare a plan for the fulfillment of their duties within the given deadline and hand them over to the heads of departments.

2. The non-teaching staff of the Rectorate, from 11th of March, 2020 to 23rd of February 2020, do not go to work and will perform their work duties in their home environment (home office). Fulfillment of work duties in the home environment does not apply to employees who ensure the continuous operation of selected workplaces to employees who will ensure the operation of individual departments and reports (from each department of the Rectorate and Quaestor). The UCM Bursar shall e-mail the members of staff who will be present at the workstation indicated above. Heads of the Rector's Department shall report to the Rector's Office UCM e-mails of employees who will be present at the workplaces indicated on the deadline.

3. It is prohibited to carry out foreign business trips, from 11th of March, 2020 to 31st of May, 2020 inclusive.

4. It is prohibited to hire foreign students, pedagogical and non-pedagogical staff from 11th of March, 2020 to 31st of May, 2020 inclusive.

5. Foreign students staying at the UCM dormitoryl are obliged to stay at the dormitoy, respect all regulations and do not travel abroad and outside the territory of the Slovak Republic during the announcement of the dates of all measures taken.

6. UCM students and staff are asked to postpone their further mobility if possible, or to change their destination after lifting the ban (if your foreign business trip is planned to a country with a confirmed coronavirus infection); in this case contact Department of External Relations / International office of UCM.

7. After returning from risk areas or in case of health problems, students contact the faculty / institute informant and at the same time inform the university management at e-mail - korona.studentjohn(zav.)doeucm.sk. The Dean of the Faculty / Director shall be entitled to order the student to stay in the 14-day home quarantine at his / her discretion, without delay if symptoms of respiratory diseases occur.

8. Employees are obliged to inform the immediate supervisor in case of return from risk areas (areas with confirmed case of coronavirus). He will assess whether quarantine in isolation is needed (at home) and decide whether to grant leave of absence with wage compensation (Home Office) or regular 14-day leave because of quarantine. o Work at Home (Home Office) on the basis of regulation and control of direct supervisor (it is not PN, OČR or similar kind of absence at the workplace). The employee is also obliged to send a completed questionnaire to korona.zamestnancejohn(zav.)doeucm.sk with all the information in which country, location and period he was staying.

9. It is necessary to cancel the bulk actions resp. events with a greater number of participants, such as conferences, seminars, meetings and other events, by 31 March 2020.
