CRISIS SITUATION ABOUT CORONAVIRUS - COVID 19 AT UCM

The situation in Slovakia and worldwide is rigorously monitored by the Slovak Government and appropriate steps are taken immediately to minimize any risk to the residents living or staying currently in the country and to contribute to the relevant response to the outbreak across the continents.

Rector of University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius has taken several measures according the situation with coronavirus in Slovakia.

All our FOREIGN STUDENTS are now at university dormitory and Department of External Relations/International Office is responsible to take care of them. They are with them in contact every day, inform them about all the changes, etc. Everybody is fine, they have lunch in the university cantine of their choice, as well as they have common areas at the university dormitory and IRO inform them of any change without delay by e-mail and a common fb group. There was also disinfection of their rooms and common areas this week on Monday to maintain all hygiene standards. All international students will be kept informed about the situation, asked to avoid travelling abroad.

Currently the Government strongly recommends TO AVOID TRAVELLING - NOW it´s stopped and it isn´t possible. We are ready to continue to take care of all the international students studying at the UCM now and help them with anything they may need; we hope the situation will soon develop in a favourable way.
