Due to the occurrence of a pandemic related to the occurrence and spread of coronavirus (COVID19) and in accordance with the measures taken by the Central Crisis Staff of the Slovak Republic and its follow-up by the Government of Slovak republic and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of Slovak republic , I issue the following measure:

1. Contact teaching is suspended from 30.03.2020 until further notice at all three levels of study, also at the discretion of the Central Crisis Staff of the Slovak Republic. Pedagogical process will take the form of self-study, distance or other appropriate method. Details shall be laid down by the deans of the faculties and by the director of the institute.

2. At the same time, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava adjusts the academic year study schedule for non-ending students as follows:

lessons: 11th of February, 2020 - 6th of June, 2020
exam period: 8th of June, 2020 - 18th of July, 2020
summer holiday: 20th of July, 2020 - 31st of August, 2020
The specific details of the adjustment of the academic year schedule for non-ending students will be decided by the dean of the faculties, the director of the institute and persons authorized by them according to the structure of the curricula of individual study programs.

3. University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava also adjusts the academic year for study schedule for the ending students (Bc., Mgr., Ing., PhD.) as follows:

lessons: 11th of February, 2020 - 16th of May, 2020
exam period: 18th of May, 2020 - 30th of June, 2020
The details of the adjustment of the academic year schedule for the ending students will be decided by the dean of the faculties, the director of the institute and persons authorized by them according to the structure of the curricula of individual study programs.

4. The deans of faculties and director of institute may enable the students to complete the subjects by the distance method during the examination period and at the same time they may decide to modify the conditions for obtaining the evaluation for individual subjects. At the same time, it is fully within the competence of the deans of faculties and the director of the Institute to abolish the on-site examination method. If the method of exams is maintained, care should be taken to maintain all safety and hygiene measures for both teachers and students.

5. The final works will be submitted exclusively by electronic means, via the AIS, till the end of academic year 2019/2020. There is no need to print and bind the work or physically hand it over to the appropriate training center. The final work must comply with the provisions of the Directive on the essentials of the final works, the qualifications, the control of their originality, the storage and the making available to the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava. A supervisor's consent is required to upload work to AIS. The paper license agreements for academic year 2019/2020 will be signed by students on the day of the state examination. Exact deadlines for uploading final, diploma, dissertation theses to CRZP; enrollment of students for state examinations in the AIS system shall be determined by the dean of the faculty, the director of the institute and persons authorized by them according to the structure of the study plans of individual study programs.

6. The deans of the faculties prepare the so-called term and content scenar of state examinations. If necessary:

Students can take the state exam subjects (except for the defense of the thesis) in a distance form or combine the defense of the final thesis with asking additional supplementary questions, also from thematically related areas to the final thesis. It is recommended that trainers and reviewers specify specific topics in the assessment of each final thesis.

Credits from the state exam subjects can be moved to the subject of Final / Diploma Thesis Defense.
The specific details of content and term details of the state examinations will be decided by the deans of the faculties, the director of the institute and persons authorized by them according to the structure of the study plans of individual study programs. During the state examinations it is necessary to ensure that all safety and hygiene measures are maintained for both teachers and students, resp. for persons who are risk groups. The specific measures are fully within the competence of the deans of the faculties, the director of the Institute and the persons authorized by them.

7. The schedule of practical state examinations in contractual facilities is fully in the competence of the director of the institute and persons authorized by him according to the structure of study plans of individual study programs.

8. The details and the schedule of the defenses of the dissertations and departmental defenses are set by the deans of the faculties, in cooperation with the study supervisors. It is recommended that the dissertation defense be carried out till 31st of August, 2020.

9. The repeating of state examinations at the first and second levels of study will take place in the academic year 2020/2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.

The specific details of completion of compulsory practice will be decided by the dean of the faculties, the director of the institute and the persons authorized by them according to the structure of the study plans of individual study programs.

10. The extension of the application deadlines to the first, second and third degree is fully within the competence of the deans and the relevant academic senates. The deans of the faculties and the directors of the institutes are fully competent to adjust the conditions of the admission procedure, the manner of passing the entrance examinations. Resolutions from the Chambers on the extension of deadlines for filing applications and other changes, modifications in the admission procedure must be sent to the rector of University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava.

11. More detailed information on the dates of resumption of accommodation at the UCM Student dormitory, payments for accommodation and entry to the UCM Student dormitory will be published on an ongoing basis at the university's website.

12. The graduation ceremonies of UCM graduates in Trnava at the first and second degree of study, scheduled for June and July 2020, will not take place. Graduates and diplomas will be handed over to the graduates at the UCM Organizational Department after completion of their studies within the set deadlines, which will be published on the website of the university and faculties. The University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava will inform about the alternative date of graduation ceremonies.

13. Due to the extraordinary situation, the Children's University will not take place in the academic year 2019/2020.
