UCM successful in the NATURE INDEX ranking

According to the most prestigious scientific ranking NATURE INDEX for 2020, based on top scientific publications on the website - natureindex.com, the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava was ranked the fourth among Slovak universities this year. Within the monitored period, the Slovak Academy of Sciences was ranked at the top of the assessed institutions from Slovakia.

The Nature Index tracks published articles in 82 prestigious scientific journals with a scientific focus, selected by an independent group of experts. Ranking determines the number of publications and co-author shares of authors from the institution. The prestigious Nature Index of institutions is compiled by Springer Nature. It makes it possible to monitor the classification and placement of institutions in a qualitative order on the basis of time, territorial and within individual research areas.

University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava for the last three years has always been in the leading positions in Slovak universities in the Nature Index database, namely: in 2017 it took 1st place, 2018 - 2nd place, 2019 - 4th place.

"I believe that our joint efforts, research activities and publications in quality journals will continue to succeed in maintaining this position, or even move higher. I consider placing in this prestigious quality ranking to be an important appreciation of the quality of our work." said the rector of UCM, prof. Ing. Roman Boča, DrSc.
