Psychological support and counseling

Work, study, family, personal life - each of us can sometimes feel that there is too much for him/her. In addition, in the current situation of uncertainty and various changes, to which we must adapt quickly, we are facing even more pressure than usual. Fatigue, stress, experiencing anxiety, intense sadness and / or anger, conflicts ... these are just a few possible consequences.

It is precisely such situations that can be handled by a trained professional, whether in person, on the telephone line or online. Overcoming oneself and asking for help and support can prevent the multiplication of difficulties.

The university has a professional workplace at its disposal, in which experienced employees of the Faculty of Arts work - a psychological counseling center for employees and students:

UCM PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING FOR STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES

Psychological-counseling activities are currently provided by three psychologists from the Department of Psychology under the professional guarantee of a supervisor with a separate license.

If you need psychological support in the current crisis situation, counseling in coping with stress, or guidance in solving mental problems, contact one of the colleagues from the Faculty of Arts by e-mail:

assoc. prof. Dr. Slávka Démuthová, PhD., slavka.demuthovajohn(zav.)doeucm.sk
Mgr. Ivana Václaviková, PhD., ivana.vaclavikovajohn(zav.)doeucm.sk
Mgr. Jana Holienková, PhD., jana.holienkovajohn(zav.)doeucm.sk

The psychological counseling room is located in the building on Nám. Jozef Herda, no. 223, 2nd floor. It is necessary to agree in advance by e-mail on the date of the visit.

Warning:
Due to the current situation in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, it is possible that the counseling will be moved to the online space, as it was in the spring of this year. You will be informed of this fact.
