Scientists not only from around the world, but also our colleague Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Stanislav Miertuš, DrSc. from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava is successfully involved in the research of aspects related to the nature of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 causing the disease COVID-19.

In collaboration with his former doctoral student and successor, prof. Ing. Vladimír Frecer, DrSc., published in the top international journal RSC Advances (Royal Society of Chemistry) an extensive publication RSC Adv. 2020, 10, 40244-40263 "Antiviral agents against COVID-19: structure-based design of specific peptidomimetic inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 main protease".
