Public vaccination at the University Hospital in Trnava

On January 5, 2021, a public vaccination against COVID-19 was performed at the University Hospital in Trnava. The organizers declared that the aim of this vaccination, which was also shared through social networks, is to inspire public confidence in vaccination against COVID-19 through local and regional authorities.

The rectors of the universities in Trnava were also invited to the vaccination and, with their personal presence at the vaccination, to support the public's call. At the same time, they signaled that they considered vaccination to be an extremely important and significant way to get life back on track as soon as possible.

Rector of UCM in Trnava prof. Boča told the following message addressed primarily to 12,000 students studying in Trnava:
"It's amazing to be overcoming the worst broom of humanity in the last 100 years. It is amazing to believe the success, molecular biology, virology and molecular medicine, that the achievements of cutting-edge science have succeeded in developing an effective vaccine against COVID-19. It is amazing to recognize the commitment of the world's best brains to curb a pandemic. It is wonderful to be a citizen of the European Union, which ensures the proportional delivery of the vaccine to all its components. We enjoy this amazing success for us, our loved ones as well as for our entire society."
