UCM tested employees in a nationwide screening

On Sunday January 17, 2021, the Government of the Slovak Republic adopted a resolution in which it conditioned several activities, including the way to and from work, by passing the Covid 19 test and proving its negative result with a certificate.

In order to meet this condition, the management of UCM in Trnava and Trnava University in Trnava consulted with the competent authorities of the city of Trnava the possibility of establishing a sampling point in Trnava (OKO Cinema), where testing of university employees could take place on Saturday 23 January 2021, also together with their family members.

Employees had the opportunity to report themselves and their family members at their own discretion to the designated email address and subsequently received a confirmation stating the exact time of testing.
As there was sufficient interest and after the agreement the employees of the third university subject in Trnava - Faculty of Materials Technology STU in Trnava joined the applicants for testing, 3 testing places were finally established, while the OKO cinema remained reserved exclusively for employees of our university.

Testing of UCM employees and their family members was carried out according to the time schedule from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, and the course was smooth. At the beginning, a slip of about 40 minutes was created due to the use of a new application provided from the city of Trnava, which, however, was quickly resolved by the administrators from the city and keeping the time was already in order. A total of 426 people were tested, two of them with a positive test result. This means that we have less than 0.5% positivity.

Thanks are due to medical staff, administrative staff as well as volunteers and organizers from the university. Also a partner Trnava University in Trnava, with which we communicated details and also solved cooperation with the city of Trnava. We would also like to thank the volunteers - students from the Faculty of Social Sciences of our university, which were working with us through assoc.prof. Oľga Bočáková and prof. Jana Levická.
The city of Trnava supplied some protective materials - clothing, 2 medics, 2 administrative staff, disinfectants, provided additional organizational and technical assistance.
