Expert from UPOL at UCM - workshop on the topic of university quality
October 20, 2022, a workshop entitled: Internal system of quality assurance of higher education - an effective tool or an unnecessary formality ?was held at the UCM.
The lecturer was an expert on this topic from Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (UPOL) - doc. PhDr. Hana Marešová, PhD., MBA., who is currently the head of the strategy and quality department of UPOL and at the same time the manager of quality management at the university. In the previous period, she worked as the vice-rector of the university for strategic planning and quality.
The participants of the training were employees of the university and its parts (deans, vice-deans, vice-rectors, employees of the UCM quality department and others).
The workshop was aimed at the areas of building the internal quality system (IQS) at the university (policies, structures, processes, indicators), implementation of the IQS (adaptation of the school, human, material, financial and other resources), the process of evaluating and revising the system (monitoring, improvement of the IQS) . Using the example of a successful Czech university, Doc. Marešová presented experiences and best practices from the process that is also taking place at our university and provided valuable practical advice and experience. She also drew attention to potential threats and problems that could slow down or disrupt the process. At the same time as the presentation, there were also discussions and communications about individual areas of the presented topic.
The event was realized under the guarantee of the vice-rector for quality, prof. PhDr. Ladislav Lenovský, PhD., who is the main researcher of the ESF OP Human Resources project: Support of the internal system of ensuring the quality of higher education at UCM. The workshop was held as part of sub-activity 8 - Education of UCM employees involved in the creation, implementation and control of the internal quality system at UCM.
