The UCM Night Run connects sports and mental health this year

The nighttime run covers a total distance of 5.96 km and will take place on May 2nd at 8:00 pm.

The UCM Night Run is a running competition for every sports enthusiast. The main idea of this year's edition is to link physical activity and mental health. "Our goal is to get Trnava moving, inform the public about the benefits of sports on human mental health, as well as strengthen the sports activities of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava," explained the organizers.

The nighttime run is truly a great experience that combines sports, mental health, and culture. The route, which passes through significant monuments of Trnava, offers amazing views and a beautiful atmosphere that every runner will have the opportunity to experience.

This year's event also has a charitable character. A collection for the Flek Club, which provides psychological help to young people, will take place directly at the event. It was founded by psychologists and experts from the NGO IPčko and has the long-term support of the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic and various significant foundations.

As part of the mental health theme, the organizers have also prepared a supplementary program, which includes a discussion about the impact of running on mental health with a psychologist. After the discussion, the talented Emma Llure will sing with guitar accompaniment by Adam Kršiak. Later, a discussion with athlete and fitness coach Patrik Krajčovič will take place.

The 5.96-kilometer route is suitable for all runners regardless of their fitness level and experience with running. The run starts and ends at Jozef Herda Square. The basic entry fee for competitors is €10 in pre-registration and €12 on-site. Students pay €5 in advance and €10 on-site.
