UCM is organizing another edition of the Night Run through Trnava. This time, the University will support the Slovak Union of Physically Disabled Persons

The UCM Night Run charity run, organized in cooperation with the city of Trnava and the general partner Cukrovar, will take place on April 23rd at 8:00 PM in Trojičné námestie square.

The route of the UCM Night Run, combining sports, culture, and a charitable dimension, will lead past significant landmarks of Trnava. This will provide runners with amazing views complemented by the unique historical atmosphere of "Little Rome".

"Our goal is to energize Trnava, learn to overcome obstacles together, inform the public about the benefits of sports for mental health, and strengthen the sports activities of our Alma mater," explain students from the FMK UCM Event Cabinet. According to them, organizing such city-wide events allows them to gain valuable experience and develop not only in the academic environment but also in practical areas of their field.

This year's event also has a charitable aspect. A collection will take place directly at the event, which, along with the registration fee, will be donated to the Slovak Union of Physically Disabled Persons. The union brings together citizens with physical disabilities, parents of physically disabled children, and family members of physically disabled citizens without any distinctions.

As part of the event, organizers have also prepared additional programs. Participants will be able to attend several moderated discussions before the run itself. The first one, with developer Karol Šebo, will introduce the emerging Trnava development project Cukrovar, the second will involve representatives of the Slovak Union of Physically Disabled Persons, Monika Vrábľová and Denis Kučera. A physiotherapist and UCM graduate, Ondrej Machovič, will address the health aspects of running in the final evening discussion.

Organizers assure that the 5-kilometer route is suitable for all runners regardless of their fitness level or experience. The route starts and finishes at Trojičné námestí square. The basic registration fee for pre-registered runners is €10, and for students, it's €5. Runners who register on-site will pay a flat rate of €13.

Interested participants can register at a discounted price here.
