SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY

The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava has long considered science and research to be one of the key pillars of its mission. As a modern university, we strive not only to provide high-quality education, but also to create an environment that supports original scientific ideas and interdisciplinary cooperation. Support for research at UCM is based on the principles of transparency, expertise, and cooperation. The university provides its students, doctoral students, and academic staff with systematic assistance in several areas—from financial support for research projects and material and technical equipment to expert advice and coordination. The aim is to create conditions in which both young and experienced researchers can devote themselves fully to their work and deliver results that meet international standards.

The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava supports young scientists and doctoral students through the Research Support Fund (FPPV). The fund provides the opportunity to obtain funding for the development of their own scientific projects, access to laboratory facilities, and support for the creation of innovative solutions. The aim is to strengthen the quality of research, motivate a new generation of scientists, and bring knowledge that moves society forward.

Fund for the Support of Research at UCM

Support does not end with funding – scientific teams are looked after by the Center for Science, Research, and Artistic Activity Support, which coordinates research activities, assists with grant applications, regularly provides information on support opportunities, advises on intellectual property and invention issues, and actively promotes science through conferences, workshops, and other professional events.

The university is an active member of national and international science and research structures. It participates in the activities of expert councils, working groups, and associations that shape scientific policy, support cooperation between universities, and strengthen the international visibility of Slovak science. Membership in these structures allows UCM not only to contribute to the creation of strategic documents and programs, but also to share experiences and connect with partners at home and abroad.
