Frequently Asked Questions - joint study programmes with the University of Trnava in Trnava

You will be a student of both universities at the same time - UCM and the University of Trnava. Teaching and courses will be divided between the faculties according to the programme and you will have access to facilities, services and lecturers at both schools.

No - you will submit one application for the joint programme. It is submitted electronically through the university system. It doesn't matter which one. You only need to apply once.

Part of the teaching will be at UCM and part at TRUNI - depending on which faculty provides the course. Each year you will have a study plan (timetable) which will specify exactly where the course is taught.

Each programme has a designated home university that handles administration, enrolment, exams, study matters, graduation and the diploma.

These are handled by your home university - this is where you'll also have access to AIS, handing in work, registering for exams and dealing with study matters. This home university will send you all the same information as any other student once you have been accepted.

• You will have student status at both universities (this is great and unique).

• The ISIC is issued by your home university.

• The diploma will be joint, with the logos of both universities + signatures of the rectors and deans of both schools.

Yes, you have the same rights as a regular student. You primarily request accommodation at your home university, if there is space, the partner university can also accommodate you.

Scholarships (social, incentive, pregnancy) are paid by the home university.

You write your thesis according to the rules of your home university.

The state examinations and the defence take place at the home university, but teachers from the other school will also be on the committee.

You can continue your Master's programme at any university that has a follow-up programme - there is also room for mobility and exchanges.
