On February 27, 2020, the rector of UCM prof. Roman Boča together with Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations prof. Štefan Galbavý and Head of the External Relations Department Lenka Biba Slovak hosted at our university the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in the Slovak Republic - Gregor KOZOVINC.

In the introduction the rector informed about the structure of the university with an emphasis on the Faculty of Natural Sciences, which fulfills the criteria of an excellent research center. In the next part management of our university informed about the ambition to create a joint research center in the area of ​​countries such as Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland in the financing of European Union funds. Research centers of this importance are only in the so-called "old countries" of the EU. The centers would be highly specialized with cross-border cooperation. The Ambassador expressed his promise to support this initiative.
