Rector´s measure 4/2020 - Coronavirus

In connection with the possible threat to UCM students and staff on coronavirus, I issue the following measures:

1. A non-contact thermometer with spare batteries will be visible at the gatehouse of each UCM building. All porters will be instructed about its use as well as its disinfection before and after use.

2. A temporary quarantine room shall be set up in each UCM building in the student restricted area and shall not be used for any other purpose. The room will be equipped with a telephone, table and chair and drinking water in a bottle. The room will be intended for temporary (several hours) isolation of persons with symptoms of coronavirus until the instructions of the relevant medical staff.

3. At the entrance to each building, there will be an information panel with information on the situation of the temporary quarantine room, telephone numbers for reporting a coronavirus suspect, as well as coronavirus information posters (instructions on coronavirus hygiene and prevention, as well as the necessary precautions for suspecting the disease). Information leaflets will be placed next to the panel.

4. At the gatehouse of each UCM building will be a small identification questionnaire with the necessary information such as name, residence, telephone, contact with relatives, symptoms of illness or sickness, travel information, etc.

5. Any student or employee suspected of having a coronavirus must remain in a temporary quarantine room until instructions have been given by the appropriate healthcare professional. He does not go home or to a doctor alone.

6. Every UCM student or employee must have access to body temperature measurement.

7. If the toilet is used by a person suspected of having a coronavirus, it is necessary to arrange and disinfect the room immediately, including handles and batteries.

8. Every pedagogical employee is obliged to justify a student's failure to attend due to a suspicion of coronavirus. Missed lessons will have to be replaced according to the instruction of the teaching staff.

9. Each employee in executive is competent to order a home office in the home quarantine to a subordinate employee with an objectively suspected coronavirus disease.

10. When entering the dining room, the hand hygiene requirements and disinfection racks will be particularly highlighted.

11. Retrospectively, the External Relations Department monitors all secondments and admissions of students and staff abroad.

12. Consider minimizing or eventually canceling events organized by UCM until further notice, in particular as regards participation from an external environment.
