You are invited to a lecture by professor Sýkora: Argument- what makes a statement attackable

The event will take place on June 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM via MS Teams.

Argumentation is a tool of (critical) thinking that we encounter in legal proceedings, political, moral, philosophical, or theological debates, in mathematics, in science, as well as in everyday life. However, not everything that presents itself as an argument actually is one. What constitutes an argument, how to recognize them, what deductive and inductive arguments are, and what constitutes a false argument will be discussed in the lecture by Professor RNDr. Petr Sýkora, PhD, from the Faculty of Philosophy at UCM.
