Frequently Asked Questions
Are you considering studying at UCM or do you just want to get acquainted with the admissions, programmes and opportunities the university offers? In this section you will find answers to the most common questions we are asked by applicants for Bachelor's and Master's studies. If you don't find what you're looking for here, don't hesitate to get in touch - we'll be happy to help.
Yes, no problem. The university has several faculties and one institute from which you can choose programmes.
Studying at the university consists of lectures, seminars and practicals, depending on the chosen study programme. Each faculty has its own specialised workplaces where we try to simulate real-life practice and thus prepare our students for life after university. Some programmes are so-called professionally oriented - these are more practically oriented, but end with a Bachelor's degree. (Bachelor).
Full-time study takes place during weekdays and is free of charge. External study is for people who already have work experience in the field and want to upgrade their qualifications; there is a fee for external study.
All information not only about study programmes, but also about the admission process and extracurricular activities can be found in the STUDY AT UCM section.
The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava (UCM), in cooperation with the University of Trnava (TRUNI), has prepared unique joint study programs that are unparalleled in Slovakia.
These programs combine the best of both universities – modern approaches, interdisciplinarity, experts from various fields, and the background of two established academic institutions. The result is study programs that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries, reflect the current needs of society, and open doors to a wide range of career opportunities for graduates, both at home and abroad.
