Governing Board
The Board of Trustees of UCM in Trnava as a public university is a body which, within the scope of its competence as defined by the Higher Education Act (Act No. 131/2002 Coll., as amended), supports the link between the university and society. It promotes the public interest in its activities, in particular with regard to the use of its property and the funds granted to the public university by the State.
The status of the University's Board of Trustees, its composition, scope and activities are regulated by Sections 40 and 41 of Act No 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and Article 4 of the Statutes of the UCM Board of Trustees.
In accordance with the law, representatives of public life, including representatives of the business sector and local self-government and central government bodies responsible for education, finance, the economy and social affairs, are nominated to the Board of Trustees.
Proceedings
The manner in which the Board of Trustees conducts its business is regulated by its statutes, which, after approval by the Academic Senate, were approved by the Minister of Education on the proposal of the Rector.
Meetings of the Board of Trustees shall be convened at least twice a year by its chairperson. Meetings of the Board of Trustees shall be open to the public.
