Erasmus+ staff mobility

Staff mobility guidelines

Types of Erasmus staff mobility:

  • Erasmus mobility for teaching (STA)
  • Erasmus mobility for traineeship (STT)

Eligible participants: UCM staff - teaching and non-teaching - with 100% full-time employment at UCM

How to apply?

To apply for STA mobility, the candidate must apply in the selection procedure published on the UCM faculties and institute websites.

The selection procedure for STA mobility is announced by the Department of International Relations(link HERE) and staff members apply to the staff mobility officer.

The faculty selection procedures for STA mobilities usually take place at the beginning of the calendar year and concern mobilities to be carried out during the following academic year.

Supplementary competitions (in the event of vacancies) are held at the end of the winter semester, following a call by the OMV, for mobility to be carried out in the summer semester.

Pre-mobility procedure

The acceptance for mobility is communicated with the partner university with the help of the faculty/departmental coordinator, resulting in the signing of the Mobility Programme/Mobility Agreement(/en/required-documents-staff/).

The Mobility Programme is signed by the seconded staff member, his/her supervisor (Head of Department, Vice-Chancellor, etc.) and a representative of the host university.

Therecommended duration of mobility is a maximum of 5 days of activity (excluding travel days), the minimum duration of mobility is 2 days of continuous activity

For STA mobilities, the host organisation is any university with which UCM has an Erasmus inter-institutional agreement (Inter-institutional Agreement; see list here: /en/required-documents-staff/).

In the case of STT mobilities, the Erasmus inter-institutional agreement does not have to be signed; the receiving institution can also be a company, a non-profit organisation, etc. Inappropriate institutions are those that fall under the European Commission.

The mobility participant is obliged to take out adequate insurance as required by the project currently running. The minimum required is insurance for medical expenses abroad.

The mobility participant shall report the travel and stay schedule to the relevant OMV officer by e-mail.
