Go abroad. Come together. Experience more. UCM invites you to Erasmus Days 2026
From October 12 to 16, 2026, the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava will participate in the Europe-wide Erasmus Days initiative. Students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and staff can look forward to a week full of international opportunities, practical information, and new connections.
Every year, Erasmus Days highlight the many benefits of international cooperation and mobility. At UCM this year, the program focuses on two groups: those who are just beginning to consider studying abroad, and international students and colleagues who are already living and studying in Trnava. Events will be held in both Slovak and English.
UCM Erasmus Days 2026 is organized by the UCM Office of International Relations in collaboration with faculty Erasmus coordinators, EURAXESS UCM, ESN, and other partners. Whether you’re planning your first stay abroad or have just arrived in Trnava, you’ll find something for yourself in the program.
What’s in store?
Monday, October 12: Safe & Informed @ UCM
The week will kick off from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a meeting with the League for Human Rights. International students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and staff, as well as the EURAXESS UCM community, will learn practical information about safety, their rights, and where to find help if needed.
Tuesday, October 13: International Opportunities
Tuesday afternoon, starting at 1:00 p.m., is dedicated to opportunities for study, research, and careers. The program consists of three parts:
- 1:00 p.m. – Study and Research in France. The French Embassy in Slovakia and the Institut français de Slovaquie will present study options, scholarships, opportunities for doctoral students and researchers, and scientific collaboration.
- 2:00 p.m. – Financial Literacy and Paid Internship Opportunities. Students will receive tips on better managing their finances and making responsible decisions, while also learning about opportunities to gain work experience through paid internships.
- 3:00 p.m. – Discover Trnava. This guided city tour is intended for incoming Erasmus+ students and the EURAXESS UCM community. It’s an opportunity to get to know the city where they’ll be studying and living, as well as the university’s international community.
Wednesday, October 14: Your Erasmus Starts Here
At 3:00 p.m., the UCM Department of International Relations has organized an informational seminar on Erasmus+ mobility programs for all students considering studying or doing an internship abroad. The seminar will answer questions about where students can go, how to apply, how funding works, what the deadlines are, and how course recognition works. Students who have already participated in the Erasmus program will also share their experiences.
At 6:00 p.m., the UCM International Welcome Dinner will take place in the UCM dining hall on J. Herdu Square. This informal welcome gathering for incoming Erasmus+ students is held under the motto: one university, many countries, one table.
Thursday, October 15: Language & Culture Café – Mobility Edition
At 10:00 a.m., UCM staff and the EURAXESS UCM community will gather for an informal conversation in English. The topics will include study abroad opportunities, international experiences, and opportunities available to university staff.
