Hit UCM Trnava ended the season on a wave of success and historical milestones

In its 24th year of existence and 13th year of cooperation with our university, the club recorded a record number of 536 organized matches and entered up to 19 teams in competitions, making it the largest volleyball club in Slovakia.

They have demonstrated stability and combativeness in the league

The women's team entered its 9th season in the Nike Extraliga under the leadership of only 26-year-old Adrian Cerveny, the youngest head coach in the league. His goal was to move the team up the table and into the top five. The Trnava girls managed to assert themselves in the regular season against teams like VK Brusno and UKF Nitra and eventually dominated the bottom group (6th-10th place).

In the play-offs they showed a brave performance against UNIZA Žilina, but after a dramatic series they dropped out and finally fought for 5th place with UKF Nitra. After a win at home and a loss away, they finished in 6th place, an improvement on the previous season.

The team was strengthened by several players, including all-rounder Zuzana Pisecna and smasher Jana Neupauerova. Individually, Barbora Truchla did well, recording 95 blocks and finishing 2nd in the extraliga statistics.

The first finals in the history of the tournament

The youth teams made huge progress. For the first time in history, the younger pupils fought their way to the Slovak Championship and finished 6th out of 84 teams on home soil. The junior girls also won a historic 4th place at the final tournament in Levice and the cadet girls finished bronze. Excellent results were also achieved by the youngest categories. MINI volleyball players took the 3rd place in triple volleyball.

Representation and development

Hit Trnava was also represented in the national teams. Elena Mančáková (U16), Barbora Truchlá and Petra Ritterová (U22) represented Slovakia in the qualifiers for the European Championships, while the U22 missed qualification by only 4 balls.

The club continued to develop beach volleyball. It organized the Nike Summer Beach Tour and is preparing new sand courts thanks to an extended loan from the city. In addition, Hit Trnava operates the TIMEOUT café and cafeteria in the Beach Sports Centre.

On social media, the club achieved record numbers of followers - some Instagram posts had over 500,000 views. The digital content was handled by Dávid Vereb, who also contributed to the club's visibility in the media; the women's team was featured live three times on JOJ ŠPORT.
