Invitation to a workshop on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

11 February marks the annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which highlights the importance of equal opportunities, diversity and fostering talent in research, development and innovation. The day also creates a space for professional debate on the persistent challenges facing women in academia and science.
To mark the occasion, we invite you to join us for an expert webinar, Women in Scientific Organisations, which will take place online on 11 February 2026 from 14:00 to 16:00.

The aim of the webinar is to present the results of a global study on gender equality in scientific organizations, which analyzes women's representation in scientific academies, their participation in management and decision-making processes, as well as factors affecting their professional development, career advancement, and involvement in leadership.
The event is organised by the International Science Council in collaboration with the InterAcademy Partnership on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
