The National Student Organization of the Year Award was won by our UCM Student Council
In addition to handing out the national awards, the Gaudeamus Awards were also given out at UCM.
The award ceremony was held on April 30 at the Joseph Matúš Auditorium. The aim of the Gaudeamus awards is to raise the profile of exceptional students of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, who go beyond their normal study duties with their activity, talent and attitude. With this award, we want to draw attention to young people who, through their efforts, contribute to the positive image of the University and beyond. It is also a way of recognising the work, time and energy they devote to science, the arts, sport, volunteering or other areas.
The award is also motivational - it shows that creativity, imagination and initiative are values that are valued at UCM. This creates a space for presenting inspiring stories and achievements of our students. We want student achievements to become a visible part of academic life and to inspire others. Gaudeamus is an opportunity to show appreciation to those who lead by example. It also fosters community spirit and promotes mutual pride in belonging to the University. We believe that such awards can be an impetus for further growth and development not only of individuals but also of the entire University.
Six Gaudeamus awards were presented during the gala evening, which was organized by the UCM Student Council, in the following categories:
Contribution to the University: Emma Grishlova for creating the visual identity, communication and marketing of the UCM Student Council.

The award is given in recognition of outstanding student involvement at the national level. The aim is to highlight organisations that make a significant contribution to the development of student life, education, culture or social responsibility. Such organisations are often a driving force for positive change in their environment and create space for the personal growth of their members. The award recognises not only results, but also initiative, creativity and sustainability of activities. It serves as a motivation for other student societies to become actively involved in the university and beyond. It also makes visible the importance of student activism in society.
