The UCM Doctoral School Supported the Development of Doctoral Students’ Practical Skills
How can one communicate more effectively, manage conflict situations, or conduct a conversation focused on the development and support of others? Our doctoral students also addressed these topics during soft skills development courses.
Participants completed up to two courses: Conflict Resolution and Mentoring and Coaching. Through practical exercises and small-group work, they developed the ability to communicate effectively, respond to challenging situations, prevent misunderstandings, work with motivation, and set and achieve goals.
The courses were led by experienced instructors from Developium, s. r. o. Emphasis was placed primarily on the practical application of the knowledge gained and its use in both academic and professional settings. Upon successful completion of the course, participants received a certificate of completion.
The series of courses provided an opportunity to gain new knowledge and practical experience that doctoral students can use during their studies as well as in their future academic and professional careers.
The courses took place on September 21 and 23, 2026, as part of the UCM Doctoral School.
