What do the 2024 numbers say about us?

The University of St. Cyril and Methodius (UCM) in Trnava offers a wide range of study programmes while achieving significant results in education and international cooperation. The following statistics provide a detailed insight into its functioning and development in this calendar year.

 

We have 139 study programmes

UCM offers studies at all three levels of higher education, 55 at the Bachelor's degree, 46 at the Master's degree and 38 at the Doctoral degree.

5,632 students/students studying with us

These are both full-time and part-time students. The students are divided according to their degree as follows:

1st cycle: 4098 students
2nd cycle: 1418 students
3rd cycle: 116 students

 

1433 graduates will graduate from UCM in 2024

804 students graduated from 1st cycle, 599 from 2nd cycle and 30 from 3rd cycle. The majority of graduates came from the Slovak Republic, but foreign students also found their place.

 

We welcomed 48 foreign students and 80 foreign teachersfor mobility

On the other hand, 120 students and 267 staff members went abroad for mobility. These figures reflect UCM's active cooperation with partner institutions around the world.

 

194 students from abroad

In the academic year 2024/2025, 147 new international students from various countries joined the already studying abroad at UCM. The greatest interest came from students from Ukraine (86 enrolled), Russia (13) and the Czech Republic (23). A smaller number of students came from, for example, Poland, Austria or Palestine.

 

We received 5 589 applications

This number proves the great interest in studying at UCM.

 

We have a total of 490 people working for us

These are 299 teaching staff, 181 non-teaching staff and 10 research staff.
