CONTRIBUTION TO THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS OF THE UCM 

The goal of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) is to strengthen innovative and resilient manufacturing. At UCM, long-term research optimizes malting and fermentation based on the enzyme profiles of traditional barley varieties, resulting in technologies that improve beer quality and stability without losing authenticity. SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) is fulfilled through more efficient processes and a return to raw material biodiversity. SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) is reflected in the support of local breweries and regional development, which partnerships with practice further strengthen within SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
