- Length of study: Two years at school, third year in practice – In their final year, students complete a mandatory internship lasting several months, which helps them gain experience and kick-start their careers.

Learning objectives
The study program focuses on understanding the functioning of natural ecosystems, the relationships between living organisms and the environment, and the impacts of climatic and anthropogenic changes on the environment. Students will gain an overview of ecological processes, environmental policy, and sustainability issues. Emphasis is placed on linking theory with practice – during their studies, students complete field exercises, laboratory analyses, work with data, and learn to use modern methods of monitoring and evaluating natural resources. The program develops critical thinking, the ability to analyze environmental problems, and propose solutions that contribute to the protection of biodiversity and the sustainable development of society.
Graduates of the professionally oriented study program
Graduates of the program are able to independently assess the state of the natural environment, analyze the impacts of environmental changes, and propose adaptive and managerial solutions. They know how to work with ecological and environmental data, conduct research in the field and in the laboratory, and interpret the results professionally. They are prepared to participate in nature conservation projects, landscape monitoring, and the creation of environmental strategies at the local and global levels. They will find employment in government, research and educational institutions, non-profit organizations, environmental consulting, and the private sector focused on ecological and sustainable solutions.

Graduates of the Ecosystem Sciences and Environmental Change program find employment in a wide range of environmentally oriented professions. They can work in organizations dedicated to nature conservation, ecosystem monitoring, natural resource management, and climate change adaptation. They often work in government, professional institutions, research centers, as well as in the non-profit and private sectors.
