The goal of master's education in combined teaching study programs is to prepare the graduate in a high-quality manner for the performance of the profession of a pedagogical employee in the category of teacher according to Act no. 138/2019 Coll. on pedagogical employees and professional employees and on the amendment of certain laws, for lower secondary education (teacher of the second level of primary school) and for lower secondary vocational education, secondary vocational education, complete secondary general education, complete secondary vocational education and teacher for higher vocational education (secondary school teacher). Profile of a master's degree graduate: The graduate will have a developed complex of knowledge and skills, key skills and abilities, value attitudes and personal traits that will enable him to successfully perform the teaching profession and integrate into working and non-working social structures.
Education outcomes in categories:
1. Knowledge:
The graduate will master knowledge about the phenomena of pedagogical reality, educational processes and their factors, determinants of education and training, as well as knowledge about ways of learning about pedagogical reality, about pedagogical and didactic approaches, concepts and knowledge about solving various pedagogical situations. The graduate will master the knowledge of educational inclusion, the development of pupils' personalities and the application of diagnostic, intervention and evaluation activities. The graduate will master the knowledge of the scientific disciplines represented by his/her approval teaching subjects.
2. Professional competences in the areas of:
- · Pupil - a graduate of master's education will be able to adequately identify the developmental and individual characteristics of the pupil, the psychological and social factors of the pupil's learning and the socio-cultural context of the pupil's development.
- The educational process - the graduate will master the content and didactics of teaching approval subjects, which are a combination of his/her study program, will be able to adequately plan and project teaching, implement teaching, evaluate the course and results of teaching and student learning.
- Professional development - the graduate will adequately plan and implement his/her professional growth and self-development, will be able to identify with the professional role and the school.
3. Transferable competences:
The graduate will have a developed ability to handle stressful situations, the ability to work with information, the ability to take responsibility, the ability to identify and solve problems, the ability to work in a team and lead a team, the ability to think and act creatively and flexibly, communication skills, presentation skills, the ability to adapt with changed circumstances, the skill of written expression and the ability to work in an intercultural/international environment.
General characteristics of the professional profile of a graduate of the study program teaching Russian language and literature (in combination):
After successfully completing the first level of study in the given field, the graduate continues his studies at the second level. degree of higher education. He is well-versed in the field of his subject specialization and broader contexts of pedagogy, upbringing and education, he has mastered information literacy and communication skills. He is also able to orient himself in the organizational conditions of institutional education in Slovakia, therefore he is able to work especially in the supporting components of institutional education.
Learning outcomes:
1. Knowledge:
The graduate possesses a high level of vocabulary of the studied language, can communicate in Russian without any problems and controls the key concepts from linguistics and literary science. Knowledge of linguistics is consolidated primarily within the subjects of phraseology of the Russian language, stylistics, where they gain an overview of functional styles, expressive and stylistic means, and stylistic analysis of the text. He understands the context of the development of the Russian language from the beginning of its formation to the stylistic analysis of the text. Within the framework of literary science, he is well versed in the development of Russian literature, starting with the first written monuments and ending with contemporary Russian literature. Through literary-interpretation seminars, he hones his critical thinking and argumentation skills.

The graduate is oriented in the way of thinking corresponding to the Russian mentality, knows how to interpret and evaluate culturally determined facts connected with the current and historical social development of Russians, the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, knows how to identify phenomena that could make intercultural communication difficult or completely impossible, can connect knowledge about Russian realities with the Slovak and European context and dynamically confront them with the realities of the mother culture, can effectively use the acquired knowledge to overcome language and cultural barriers, can identify and verbalize cultural specifics, or culturally determined non-verbal behavior of the bearer of Russian culture, master basic information technologies and knows how to use them effectively in practice, possesses basic skills in the field of professional translation and interpretation of general and basic professional topics.
3. Professional competences:
The graduate understands the Russian communication very well based on the audio presentation and can react actively, reads original texts and understands the read Russian text of high difficulty. He expresses himself orally without problems, he expresses himself in writing as part of normal general and professional communication. He manages skills related to social communication in ordinary life situations, but also in situations connected to the school environment. Can apply theoretical knowledge from Russian linguistics, literature and culture in the educational process. He is able to prepare a presentation, he can argue and speak well in a discussion with students. He knows how to search for the necessary information in the Internet space and use it for his own professional development. Thanks to professional qualifications, he can distinguish relevant information from irrelevant and so-called fake news.
4. Transferable competences:
The graduate will improve his/her communication skills not only in the studied language but also in his/her mother tongue, both in writing and oral expression, will acquire the skills of working with dictionaries and codification manuals, will be able to communicate effectively at the level of a work team, as well as at the level of pupil/student groups. He will improve his presentation and rhetorical skills. Through his own reading experience and a comparative approach to the literary text, he will acquire a confrontational and receptive attitude towards national literature and foreign literature. By knowing and interpreting artistic texts of Russian provenance, a competent student will approach them as one of the important components of world literature, which can contribute to the formation of their own value system and the value system of pupils in the practice of the educational process at schools. Graduates will acquire organizational skills, digital skills, improve their creative thinking.

When registering the application electronically:
- the applicant is obliged to save the application uploaded in AIS (electronic application) (the status of the application "registered" is not sufficient,
- we recommend using the electronic student book. Applicants who will graduate in the academic year 2024, submit a list of grades for the 1st to 3rd year (4-year study), or for the 2nd to 4th year (5-year study). The report card from the last year and the matriculation certificate must be delivered additionally by post to the study department.
- in case the applicant does not have the possibility to use the electronic student book, it is necessary to send certified copies of the documents by post to the study department,
in the attachment of the electronic application, the applicant uploads a CV and confirmation of payment of the fee for the admission procedure. - the applicant, who graduated before 2024, will deliver to the Study Department (in person or by post) certified copies of the report cards for the 1st to 4th year (4-year study), or for the 2nd to 5th year (5-year study) together with the school leaving certificate.

For the study of all study programs - including the study of foreign languages - knowledge of the Slovak language is required. Foreign students who do not have a high school diploma in the Slovak language or a university diploma from a Slovak university must take a language exam.
This condition does not apply to students with Czech citizenship.
It is necessary to register for the language exam in the online form no later than August 20, 2024.
