The long-term plan of the university for the years 2021-2026 (and its current update for 2024-2026)
Is the basic strategic conceptual document of the university for a multi-year period, guiding the university in planning its activities in the educational area, scientific research activities, creative activities, and all other related activities. It is a multi-year plan, and therefore the activities and tasks are spread across different time levels.
Subsequently, action plans are developed based on this long-term plan, typically for shorter time periods.
When updating the long-term plan, we considered that in recent years, universities have undergone systemic transformations in providing higher education influenced by a new approach to accreditation, and establishing new internal quality systems aimed at building a culture of quality in education.
Additionally, the evaluation of scientific activities VER 20221 shows that there is significant potential for universities to conduct high-quality research and develop it towards internationally comparable quality.
The long-term development plan of UCM builds on and continues the reforms in higher education from recent years (legislative adjustments in the governance structure of universities, legal adjustments of new tools for more targeted financing of quality, etc.)
The current update of the Long-term Plan of UCM for 2024-2026 has passed the approval process and been reviewed by the Scientific Council, RVHK, Board of Trustees, and Academic Senate of UCM.
The document came into effect on May 21, 2024.
