Erasmus mobility students - traineeship guide

 

Types of Erasmus mobility:

  • Long term: Mobility Study (SMS) and Mobility Traineeship (SMT) - min. 2 months
  • Short-term mobility 5 - 30 days

 

Eligible Participants:

Full-time or part-time students at UCM from the 1st year of Bachelor's degree or recent graduates who have been selected for mobility during their final year of study.

 

Application form, selection procedure

  • Every Erasmus mobility participant must go through a transparent selection procedure. The selection procedures for students are organised by the faculties, which also set the criteria.
  • The call for applications is usually published on the faculties' websites - students apply there.

 

Online Language Support (OLS)

  • A participant may voluntarily complete the OLS language assessment in the language used during the mobility period (if available in the system).

  • OLS is not mandatory for all students; however, some host universities abroad may require the completion of the test as a condition for acceptance to the mobility.

Obligations to the study department

The student is responsible for supplying the necessary documents to the study department both before the mobility and after the return from the mobility. Before departure, the following must be submitted to the study department:

  • Learning Agreement for Traineeships
  • Confirmation of participation in an Erasmus stay

Insurance: is compulsory for participants in mobility placements:

  • insurance for medical expenses abroad
  • liability insurance,
  • accident insurance,
  • legal expenses insurance abroad for the entire duration of your stay.

 

ERAPO insurance is recommended - Standard or Premium packages or Groupama travel insurance for study stays and internships Groupama travel insurance for study stays and internships.

Accommodation abroad is provided by the trainee, or the trainee can check with the host organisation for accommodation options in the surrounding area.

The payment of the grant is as for study mobility (80% of the total amount before the stay, the balance after the return and delivery of the necessary documents).
