Responsibilities of the Science and Research Department
The department provides administrative and organisational support for UCM’s research, development, artistic and other creative activities and their management and coordination. It handles work related to professorial appointments and honorary doctorates and advises staff on professional qualification development.
It prepares documents for the UCM Scientific Council and organises and administers its meetings. It analyses research information, monitors research funding legislation, maintains grant project databases, prepares grant reporting statistics and draws up the research budget.
It administers the UCM Research Support Fund and prepares documents for periodic and other evaluations of creative activity. It contributes to organising, supporting and promoting conferences and academic events, coordinates promotion of doctoral researchers’ results and services supporting research, and carries out related duties.
