Important information
Although the statutory deadline for filing the 2025 income tax return in Slovakia is 31 March 2026, taxpayers may apply for an extension. The filing deadline may be extended by up to three full calendar months, or up to six full calendar months if the taxpayer has taxable income from sources abroad. The taxpayer must indicate the new (extended) filing deadline in the notification form.
The relevant form is available on the website of the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic and must be submitted in Slovak before the original deadline:
