Responsibilities of the International Relations Department
The department drafts international agreements with partner institutions, coordinates and monitors their implementation and maintains records of the university’s international contacts. Together with faculties and departments, it organises outgoing and incoming visits under international and university agreements and actively seeks opportunities to expand cooperation in Slovakia and abroad.
It arranges mobility for students and academic and non-academic staff, as well as international travel for university management. It handles correspondence with partner universities and institutions, works with the relevant ministry unit and faculties, and coordinates accommodation for incoming staff, students and guests with the UCM Student Residence.
Together with the Rector’s Office, it records and maintains university membership of international organisations, organises official visits and discussions on international cooperation, and supports compliance with diplomatic protocol during visits by senior Slovak and foreign representatives. It also carries out related duties.
