Cooperation has a direct impact on security and preparedness in crisis situations.
One of the main areas of cooperation is teaching English to selected firefighters who work on the 112 emergency line. The goal is for officers to be able to communicate better with foreign callers and to quickly and accurately understand what is happening, even in stressful situations. The university will offer them language courses tailored to the real situations that rescuers encounter every day.
Cooperation with the Police Force will focus mainly on special training and crisis situation drills. UCM students will also participate in these exercises, playing the role of actors in model situations. Such training helps the police and other agencies to better prepare for emergencies and at the same time provides students with valuable practical experience.
"This cooperation is truly meaningful and beneficial for society as a whole. We combine education, practice, and safety in order to train better-prepared professionals and increase public awareness," says the university's management.
The memorandum clearly shows that the university does not live only an academic life. It actively responds to practical needs and is involved in solutions that can help each of us in times of crisis.
The memorandum was signed by UCM Rector Katarína Slobodová Nováková and the Director of the Regional Police Force in Trnava, Col. Mgr. Ján Pažický, as well as the Director of KR Hazz in Trnava, Col. Ing. Zoltán Tánczos, PhD.
