UCM and the University of Trnava jointly launch three unique study programmes

Students in the joint study pro-gramme will be studying at both schools at the same time. The new programs will bring interdisciplinary connections, practical skills and broader career opportunities.

The new programmes have application

The first programme is Ecosystem Sciences and Environmental Change at the Bachelor's level. It is entirely in English and aims to link environmental sciences with pedagogy. It mainly emphasises the acquisition of practical skills in the field, in laboratory settings and in environmental education. Graduates of this programme find employment in conservation, environmental education and environmental impact assessment (EIA) processes.

The BA in Advertising and Consumer Psychology links psychology, marketing and media studies with a focus on understanding consumer behaviour. Students gain practical skills in market analysis, developing advertising campaigns and conducting research. Graduates find employment in advertising agencies, corporate marketing departments and research teams.

Tourist Guide is a programme focusing on cultural and historical heritage, geography and tourism. It develops presentation and communication skills that are essential for the profession of tourist guide and work in tourism. Graduates can work as tourist guides, cultural institutions, tourism or regional development workers.

Why is it advantageous to study at two schools?

Studying on a joint degree programme gives students access to the teachers, facilities, subjects and services of both universities. Teaching takes place at both schools in accordance with the approved curriculum, with administrative matters such as enrolments, examinations and scholarships handled through the student's home university.

Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a joint diploma with the logos and signatures of both institutions, which has a higher value and prestige in the labour market. During their studies, students can also use the libraries, canteens and accommodation facilities of both universities.

Only one online application is made through the university system for the joint degree programme, depending on which programme the applicant chooses.
