Public Relations (Bc.)

Students will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of media and marketing communication, in particular:

• the basics of public relations and strategic communication,
• the creation of communication and PR campaigns,
• communication with the media and building media relations,
• the creation of media content (press releases, articles, online content),
• social media management and digital communication,
• organization of events,
• analysis of the media environment and target groups,
• basics of marketing, advertising, and branding,
• working with media production and digital communication tools,
• basics of media ethics and legislation.

The program also develops the ability to critically analyze media communication, plan communication activities, and effectively communicate with various target groups in both the private and public sectors.

Graduates of the bachelor's degree program in Public Relations find employment mainly in the field of marketing and media communication, in communication agencies, the media, public institutions, and the private sector. They can work in positions such as:

• public relations officer
• marketing and media communications specialist
• media relations officer
• press or communications officer
• content manager or social media manager

Graduates are prepared to work in public, private, and non-profit organizations, where they ensure communication with the media, the public, and various target groups. They are able to participate in the creation of communication strategies, the organization of events, the creation of media content, and the management of online communication.

At the same time, a large proportion of graduates continue their studies at the master's level in related study programs in media and communication studies.
