Hundreds of people will run through the center of Trnava again. This year, the Ucm Night Run is for Paľek

The UCM Night Run charity run, organized in cooperation with the city of Trnava and general partner CUKROVAR, will take place on April 21 at 8:00 PM at Trojičné námestie.

The 5-kilometer run route will lead through the historic streets of Trnava and offer participants the unique atmosphere of "Little Rome".

"Our goal is to get Trnava moving from students to adults, to learn to overcome obstacles together, to inform the public about the benefits of sports for mental health, but also to strengthen the sports activities of our Alma mater," explain the students from the FMK UCM Events Cabinet. According to them, by organizing similar city-wide events, they gain valuable experience that allows them to develop not only in the academic environment, but also in the practical areas of their field.

This year, the UCM Night Run is also establishing cooperation with the APPkA.app application. The first Slovak charitable mobile application that converts energy from movement into financial assistance for people with health disabilities. The application operates under the auspices of the APPA civic association.

The general partner of the event is CUKROVAR. A development project whose ambition is to create a modern and compact urban district in the immediate vicinity of the historic center and the Pri Kalvárii park. It emphasizes high-quality architecture, thoughtful urbanism and community development.

This year's proceeds from the run will go to support six-year-old Paľek, who was born with serious complications during childbirth. These affected his development and caused several health problems. He struggles with epilepsy, suffers from a sodium regulation disorder in the body, and due to problems with food intake, he had to have a feeding tube inserted directly into his stomach, while other procedures are still waiting for him. To make further progress, he needs regular rehabilitation, which is not covered by the health insurance company. Financial support from the event will help him continue his treatment and improve his quality of life.

The organizers assure that the 5-kilometer course is suitable for all runners, regardless of their level of fitness or experience. The route starts and ends at Trojičné námestie. The basic entry fee for runners in online registration is €15, for students €7.
