On September 5, 2025, Minister of Education Tomáš Drucker presented the 2024 St. Gorazd Awards. The silver medal was awarded to Mariana Sirotová, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at UCM in Trnava.

This prestigious award is given to educators and public figures for their lifetime contributions or significant achievements in the field of education and training. Associate Professor Mariana Sirotová was recognized for her significant contribution to the development of undergraduate teacher training, improving the quality of higher education, and her innovative use of digitization and virtual space in undergraduate teacher training.

"It is a great honor for me and, at the same time, a commitment to continue my efforts to move our faculty and university forward. I see this award as the result of the joint efforts of colleagues, students, and everyone involved in building a quality academic environment," said Associate Professor Mariana Sirotová after receiving the award.

The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava considers this award a great success not only for the dean herself, but also for the entire academic community. The award confirms that the faculty's long-term efforts to improve the training of future teachers, innovate in education, and connect with modern technologies are also recognized at the national level.

The Saint Gorazd Award is one of the highest moral awards in the field of education and has been awarded since 1999. It is named after Saint Gorazd, a disciple of the Thessalonian brothers Cyril and Methodius, whose tradition is closely linked to the history of Slavic literature and education.
