
The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava ensures the quality of education

UCM continues to systematically improve the quality of education, creative activities, and other related activities. The University's Internal Quality Assessment Council (RVHK), as an independent academic body in the field of quality assurance in higher education, has published a report on its activities for 2024 and presented its plans for 2025.
In 2024, the RVHK met seven times and adopted more than 260 resolutions. It focused primarily on evaluating and modifying study programs, assessing habilitation and inauguration proceedings in fields where UCM has the right to award the title of associate professor and propose appointments to the rank of professor. In addition, it discussed and approved strategic documents for improving the internal quality system and annual reports on individual areas of activity at the university.
Key results for 2024:

55 study programs were periodically evaluated and approved,

discussion and approval of proposals for the creation of 6 new study programs,

103 resolutions on study programs were adopted,

The activities of the RVHK were carried out by its 25 members, including experts from the field and students.

The RVHK approved the Strategy for Ensuring and Developing Quality at UCM for 2024–2029 and the Action Plan for this strategy.

Several evaluation reports produced by temporary working groups at the RVHK are recommended by the RVHK as examples of good practice.
The RVHK also dealt with personnel issues; some assessors ended their activities, but 47 new members were added to the RVHK's list of assessors.

Based on the extensive agenda of the RVHK, several meetings are expected to be held throughout the academic year in order to handle the current tasks:

periodic evaluation and approval of 55 study programs,

evaluation and approval of 9 new study programs,

adjustment of 3 habilitation procedures and 3 inauguration procedures,
-
evaluation and approval of 3 new habilitation and inauguration procedures,
-
intensification of cooperation with experts from the field,
-
expansion of the number of RVHK members.
Providing high-quality, modern education to students and building a culture of quality strengthen UCM's position both at home and abroad and remain UCM's priorities.
