UCM and the Bratislava Water Company Join Forces in Education and Research
A shared goal of BVS and our university is to collaborate on addressing social and environmental challenges.
Research and development will therefore be a key area of the partnership. Topics that both institutions can address together include water quality monitoring, wastewater epidemiology, the digitization of water infrastructure, and smart monitoring and management of water distribution networks.
The research will also focus on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the creation of predictive models. The partners will also conduct research on microplastics and micropollutants, as well as the development of digital twins for water supply systems. The collaboration will also include solutions to help the water sector adapt to climate change.
Opportunities for Students
The memorandum also opens up opportunities for students to participate in professional activities and projects. BVS will provide students with professional internships and practical training, offer opportunities to collaborate on projects, and assign topics for final theses. UCM will provide professional guidance to students, involve research teams, and conduct specialized analyses.
This collaboration thus creates opportunities to gain practical experience, solve specific professional problems, and bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical needs.
