On October 2, 2025, at a meeting of the Scientific Council of St. Cyril and Methodius University in Trnava, a ceremonial inaugural lecture was given by doc. Ing. Jana Moravčíková, PhD., from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UCM.
Topic of the inaugural lecture:
Possibilities of using the Cre/IoxP recombination system in the preparation of bio-safe genetically modified plants.
The lecture provided an inspiring view of modern biotechnologies and their contribution to a safe future for agriculture and food production.
The ceremonial inaugural lecture was a significant event not only for the Faculty of Natural Sciences of UCM, but also for the entire university. It confirmed the professional and scientific qualities of Doc. Moravčíková and at the same time underlined the importance of linking theoretical research with practical applications.
