Memorandum of Cooperation with Trnava Beekeepers Opens New Environmental Activities

UCM has established a new cooperation with the Basic Organization of the Slovak Beekeepers' Association in Trnava. The Memorandum of Cooperation creates space for joint activities in the field of beekeeping, education, and support of environmental initiatives.

Both parties declared their interest in developing cooperation, especially in the area of practical beekeeping activities and support for the university apiary. The apiary serves not only for practical training, but also for raising awareness about the importance of protecting pollinators and biodiversity.

Based on the agreement, UCM will provide premises for organizing beekeepers' meetings, which will be held according to previously agreed dates. Beekeepers also undertake to use these premises responsibly, to ensure their cleanliness and preservation of their original condition, and not to use them for activities other than those agreed upon.

Cooperation between the university and beekeepers is based on the principle of gratuitousness and expresses a joint effort to support education, professional activities and environmental protection.

The memorandum was signed by UCM Rector Prof. Mgr. Katarína Slobodová Nováková, PhD., and the Chairman of the Basic Organization of the Slovak Beekeepers' Association Trnava Ing. František Hájik.
