Spring Evening University will bring up-to-date issues of modern parenting

The invitation was accepted by psychologist Dominika Doktorová, co-founder and presenter of the Mama Gang podcast Ivana "Daša" Hodasová, and journalist and co-author of the Otcovia v plienkach podcast Michal Červený.

Parenting today is undergoing significant change. Generations are growing up in a digital world, under the pressure of social networks, information overload and constantly changing social expectations. Parents are faced with questions that previous generations did not encounter, such as how to set boundaries in the online space, how to talk to children about emotions, how to manage pressure to perform while maintaining healthy family relationships.

What does it mean to be a good parent in today's society? Is modern parenting more demanding than it used to be, or do we, on the contrary, have more tools and support? How is the role of father and mother in the family changing and what does today's society expect from parents? We will talk about how parenting is developing, what challenges it brings and how to maintain common sense and perspective in it at the discussion on the topic of Modern Parenting.

The aim of the regular UCM discussion format is to present current social topics through attractive discussions with external guests and experts from the academic environment. This discussion will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the premises of Malý Berlín at Štefániková 4 in Trnava. Admission is free for all visitors. The discussion will be followed by a reception with refreshments.
