Ing. Marek Šimon, PhD.

Marek Šimon sa špecializuje na oblasť bezpečnosti počítačových sietí a IoT, kde sa venuje analýze zraniteľností, ochrane infraštruktúry a návrhu bezpečnostných stratégií. Má praktické skúsenosti so zabezpečením podnikových sietí, detekciou útokov a implementáciou nástrojov na prevenciu hrozieb. Sleduje aktuálne trendy v kybernetickej bezpečnosti a venuje sa aj osvete v oblasti ochrany digitálneho priestoru. Počas svojej kariéry sa venoval viacerým projektom, ktoré prispeli k rozvoju a inováciám vo svojej oblasti. Je známy svojím analytickým myslením, zodpovedným prístupom a schopnosťou prepájať teóriu s praxou. V súčasnosti pôsobí ako univerzitný docent na Ústave počítačových technológií
a informatiky na Fakulta prírodných vied Univerzity sv. Cyrila a Metoda v Trnave a aktívne sa zapája do odborných a výskumných aktivít. 

Medzi oblasti záujmu patrí bezpečnosť počítačových sietí, detekcia anomálií, reakcia na incidenty a ochrana proti distribuovaným útokom. Ďalej sa venuje aj návrhu bezpečnostných politík, analýze logov a správe bezpečnostných nástrojov v hybridných a cloudových prostrediach. Sleduje vývoj v oblasti IoT a jeho dopad na kybernetickú bezpečnosť.
